2014 Pinot Noir
VINEYARD AND WINEMAKING NOTES
The 2014 vintage started with a warm frost free spring. A very warm summer followed, which meant high heat accumulation. This led to one of the warmest vintages ever recorded in Hawke’s Bay ensuring ripe, flavoursome fruit in excellent condition.
Pinot Noir produces subtle, fruity wines the best of which are complemented with earthy, smoky & elegant floral flavours.
Fragrant, soft and flavourful with aromas of ripe berries this pinot noir was aged in oak barrels for 12 months which has given it a subtle kiss of wood flavour and allowed the wine to develop structure, depth and colour.
